Don’t call me Masakalli: Sonam Kapoor
It would be nice if you did not refer to the lovely Sonam Kapoor as ‘Kabootari’ or ‘Massakali’ the next time you see her. The actress is not amused.
But the names seem to have stuck on after promos of Rakeysh OmPrakash Mehra’s Delhi 6 went on air and showed her with a pigeon (named Massakali) on her head in a song composed by A R Rahman.
The song is already popular, but people with an unkind bent of mind have started teasing her by that name, and the sensitive Sonam is embarrassed. “Everywhere I go, people are calling me Massakali, Kabootari and all,” complained the actress. Papa Anil Kapoor, who in the West is affectionately referred to as the Slumdog man, has not reacted so far.
