Sallu Kisses is Mint Fresh
After modelling for a soft drink company, suitings, banians, pens, chappals, and shoes, Salman Khan recently shot for a mint breath freshener ad for a whopper (Rs 4 crore-plus for one year). This is Salman's next big ad after almost three years.
Interestingly, the ad was directed by one of Aamir's closest friends, Prasoon Joshi. Apparently, Aamir and Prasoon have been bonding big time at Salman's home in Bandra almost every day when Salman's in town till the wee hours of the morning.
Creative director Prasoon Joshi confirms that Salman is endorsing the breath freshener and adds that he has earlier directed the other commercials (of the same brand). Prasoon adds, "We haven't completed shooting for the ad. We have shot one part of it."
Salman has not been signing too many ads in the last few years as he's choosy about what he endorses. The last products that he endorsed a few years ago were banians and shoes. Prasoon adds, "Salman is the first big star to be signed up for the breath freshener.
He's a wonderful guy with a huge fan following. The best thing about Salman is that his image is a brand fit for the product. Salman is spontaneous, fun, cool and irreverent and that's what our brand fit is too."
Salman also shot an ad last Saturday for the new 10 Ka Dum which begins its second season on Sony TV from September this year.
