Hrithik and Ash's passionate love

Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan always make a wonderful pair. Their on-screen chemistry always appeal audience. In 'Dhoom 2' and 'Jodhaa Akbar', the duo has shown a glimpse as how passionately they can love each other. Their physical beauty adds to their breathtaking chemistry. Now that they are again paired opposite each other in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Guzaarish’, they are going to impress the audience three times more than their earlier flicks.

Reports say that they have been chosen to play passionate lovers because for Bhansali their physical and spiritual beauty symbolizes Lataji’s voice on which the film is based upon. Their beauty compels Bhansali to go for Ash and Hrithik.

‘Guzaarish’ will be dedicated to the nightingale of India, Lata Mangeshkar. Sanjay himself will compose the songs of the movie. Earlier he had composed a few for ‘Saawariya’ which hit the music chartbusters.

Salman, Aishwarya turning neighbours!

There were reports earlier that Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Bachchan were moving to the new bungalow from their current abode Jalsa in Juhu, but the two rubbished it, saying they had no intentions of living separately and away from Maa and Paa (Jaya and Amitabh).

For the past two and a half years, work is going on a huge bungalow situated at Carter Road, Bandra, Mumbai. While no one seems to be confirming it from the Bachchan family, there is a strong buzz within the industry circles that this bungalow, named Naivedya is going to be the new abode of Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Bachchan. Now incidentally, this Naivedya is bang next door to Salman Khan 's plot.

Reveal sources, "Abhi and Aish have been making late night visits to Naivedya to check the progress on their house. Call it a twist of fate or just luck, Aish's ex boyfriend Salman Khan ’s plot, on which he is reportedly constructing a building for himself and his family, is just next door to Aish's to be new abode. The building doesn’t have a name yet and the plot is numbered ‘83-A’.

As one passes The Road one can see the building under construction (plot 83 A) on the left belongs to Salman Khan , while the white bungalow, Naivedya, on the right belongs to Abhi-Aish. Interestingly, Salman Khan’s building is a little taller with more floors than Abhi-Aish's villa.

Salman currently stays at Galaxy Apartments on Bandra Bandstand with his parents.

Barbara Mori has no time for Aishwarya Rai

Mexican babe Barbara Mori's first Bollywood movie Kites may not have hit the screens but she seems to have already learnt the nakhras of Bollywood. The hottie had no time to meet most beautiful woman in the world Aishwarya Bachchan at the Cannes Film Festival. Mori ignored Aishwarya after the later had desired to meet her at her hotel room.

Aishwarya had learnt that Hrithik Roshan and Barbara Mori were staying in the same hotel The Martinez as she and Abhishek and wanted to meet them. But Barbara who is not too familiar with Bollywood seemed not interested in meeting her. When Ash went to greet Hrithik and Barbara the Mexican hottie rushed out of the room citing she had to perform in an event.

This apparently left Aishwarya shocked and Hrithik Roshan her Jodhaa Akbar co-star embarrassed. When Hrithik sensed that Aishwarya felt hurt at this he tried to explain her the reasons behind Barbara's strange behaviour. Aishwarya is not having a great time at Cannes and had earlier had a fight with sonam kapoor over walking the red carpet together at Cannes.

Ash and Sonam upset with each other

Although they are a generation apart, it seems Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Sonam Kapoor (pictured left) are feeling insecure about each other. Apparently, Aishwarya is upset over the fact that Sonam Kapoor will walk the red carpet along with her at the Cannes Film Festival 2009 for the cosmetic giant L’Oreal Paris.

During an event for the brand in Mumbai recently, Sonam spoke about replacing Ash and being the youngest member to join the brand’s bunch of beauties. At the same event, it was announced Sonam will be walking the red carpet in Cannes.

Sources close to Ash, however, have denied this and said Sonam has been signed as a brand ambassador for L’Oreal in India only and she is not the face of the brand internationally. Hence she will not walk the red carpet with Ash. Ash has also reportedly said she finds Sonam’s comments childish while people in Sonam’s camp feel it’s Ash who’s reacting rather immaturely.

Ash’s statements have upset Sonam too as she has a lot of regard for the senior actress. Sonam is also shocked because at the Mumbai event she had praised Ash and said that she would always look up to her when in a difficult situation.

As the Cannes Film Festival is on, it won’t be too long before we find out if Sonam is making an appearance or not.

If she walks the red carpet on May 19, she will indeed be the youngest member to join L’Oreal Paris’ brand ambassadors – actresses Eva Longoria, Elizabeth Banks, Michelle Yeoh and the recent addition, Freida Pinto.

Hrithik-Aishwarya New film titled Guzaarish

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming next starring Hrithik Roshan[^] and Aishwarya Bachchan has finally got its title. It has been titled Guzaarish. The film is scheduled to go on floors by end of 2009.

http://l.yimg.com/t/movies/movietalkies/20081110/12/hrithik-aishwarya-2-1_1226299477_large.jpg

Reportedly, this film is a remake of Christopher Nolan’s acclaimed hit, The Prestige. It was also speculated whether who would be producing the film along with Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Bhansali’s last film was a co-production with Hollywood giant Sony Picture Company. Our industry sources claim, the Hrithik-aishwarya starrer is a 50-50 joint venture between Bhansali and UTV. Now incidentally, Hrithik Roshan[^] and Aishwarya Bachchan’s last film together, Jodhaa Akbar[^] was also a UTV production.

Reportedly, Salman Khan[^] is miffed with Bhansali and has vowed never to work with him again. Reason being, it was his idea to the bearded maker to remake the Hollywood dark thriller, but Bhansali kept him in the dark and began the project with Hrithik instead.

Abhi-Aish going for Honeymoon Just To Conceive Baby

Bollywood’s most glamourous married couple would not be in India for their second marriage anniversary on 20 April. Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan are off for a week long honeymoon to an undisclosed destination to bring in their vacation.

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhDXd55scufHHZPl5Sw4qPUToI9MjxXIBeGTsqg3c-GQJwu5vH3C4opB1B7SfCbO5c_VREk1FehD6TQreG1kutL310cDDEiiqee0ra0WCJki5o1JJ-dppppwws3PhapNeQxEBbALHFR4bI/s320/abhi-aish.jpg

According to a source, “Last year Abhishek was slogging it out in Miami for Dostana and Aishwarya joined him there for their wedding anniversary. This year they were again supposed to be working, though happily together, for the next schedule of Mani Ratnam’s Raavan on their anniversary”.

But with Mani Ratnam asked by doctors to rest out for a while, the schedule has been slightly pushed ahead, giving the pair a chance to go for a much needed holiday.

The source says, “In fact Mani had suggested he would start the schedule later to give Abhishek and Aishwarya a chance to take time off for their anniversary. But the couple had refused. Its only now when the schedule is pushed ahead that they have decided to take that anniversary holiday”.

Ash breaks her silence on Katrina's Barbie Claims

After the talks that Aishwarya Bachchan would be immortalized as a Barbie doll, there was speculation that Genelia D’Souza was considered too because of her doll like and younger face. Then suddenly it came out that Katrina Kaif would be the Barbie and she claimed that Ash was not in the running at all.

http://iworld4you.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/08/aishwarya_rai_.jpg

Katrina also went around telling whoever cared to listen that she’s the first Indian to get that privilege. Well, many ridiculed that claim of hers as she holds a British passport. And she might claim that she has nothing against Aishwarya and that she respects her and all that, but smart cookie Aishwarya isn't one to stay quiet without clarifying things.

Aishwarya hit back by saying that she refused the Barbie doll deal due to her professional commitments. In fact her representatives were in negotiations with Barbie's manufacturer Mattel, who planned to give the iconic doll a Bollywood face. But the deal did not take off. In fact since 1994 when Aishwarya won the Miss World title, the company has made numerous attempts to make a celebrity doll modelled on the Indian beauty.

However, she could never make time for their endeavour, due to her professional commitments. Again on the doll's 50th anniversary, Aishwarya was approached to appear decked up as a celebrity Barbie but she had to opt out of that too due to her prior commitments with filmmakers whose shooting schedules clashed with the event.

A statement issued by Aishwarya's spokesperson said, "Mattel was keen to have the actress walk the ramp on Lakme Fashion Week 'Barbie dolled up' in a winning design as Single Likeness Barbie, which would be unveiled and auctioned for a charity of her choice."

God alone knows what the whole truth is. Hopefully we’ll get a glimpse of the whole truth one fine day Till then, Katrina can shut up and enjoy it all.

I am the face of Barbie, not Ash: Katrina Kaif

It's official: Katrina Kaif is the new Barbie girl. Rubbishing the buzz that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was to be the new face of the Barbie doll, the new super-confident Katrina Kaif quips, "As far as I know, Aishwarya was never under consideration. It was me. So I don't know where these stories came from."

http://mid-day.com/imagedata/2009/mar/barbie.jpg

Katrina's face will now adorn those of Barbie dolls worldwide. And the actress is for once openly flattered.
"I'd call it a fun honour.

KAT CALL: Katrina Kaif in a pink dress like the one designed for the Katrina Barbie at the Fashion Week yesterday.
To have your face on dolls that you've played with from childhood is quite flattering. We've been in negotiations for nearly six months. It finally came together for the 50th year celebration of Barbie," she reveals.

Yesterday, at the Fashion Week, Katrina walked the ramp in a small pink dress like the one designed for the Katrina Barbie. Says Katrina, "Contrary to what people believe, my Barbie is not an Indian counterpart of the international brand.

It's an honour because I'm the first Indian to be the face of Barbie. I think in many ways it's an endorsement of how kids connect with me.

You can't be the face of an international doll unless kids like you. The thought that kids like me enough to make me a part of their doll collection is very gratifying."

With the Barbie image coming to the surface again, Katrina is somewhat worried about the bubbly-girl image that she'd like to change.

"So much for my attempts to move to a more mature level as an actor," laughs the actress. "I guess Prakash Jha's Rajneeti will take care of that. But I'm very happy being the clean healthy Barbie."

The doll's look and dress were planned in collaboration with Kat. "It is quite something, if you think about it. But I'd rather not. I don't want my head to get swollen.

For me it's enough that I was chosen because I reflect a certain bubbly wholesome personality, quite contrary to the sexy tag that I get in net polls and which I'm not very comfortable with," she says. The Katrina Barbie will be launched in September.

The other Barbies

Katrina Kaif will become the first Indian and join the likes of Beyonce Knowles, Elizabeth Taylor and Diana Ross, who have all had their own limited edition celebrity Barbies

Randhir Kapoor to play scientist in Akshay-Aishwarya film

Randhir Kapoor who directed his lone film Henna 18 years ago and last appeared on screen six years ago as Preity Zinta's father in Honey Irani's Armaan is all set to make a comeback as an actor in a role that's been specially written for him by Vipul Shah in his new film Action Replay which goes on floors in March.

http://mid-day.com/imagedata/2009/mar/ash1.jpg

Says Vipul, "I'm a fan of Randhir and Rishi Kapoor. It was a dream come true when I got a chance to work with Chintuji in Namastey London.

Look at how many wonderful roles and films he signed after that. Now I'm hoping that after Instant Replay, Randhirji too will be doing more films."

Vipul has cast Karisma and Kareena's semi-retired dad as a scientist in his time-travel tale.

Says the director, "But Randhirji doesn't play a mad scientist with his hair flying rebelliously and all kinds of fumes and fires escaping from the lab. He plays a calm scientist lost in his own world."

Boman Irani had played a mad scientist in Love Story 2050, which was also a time travel tale!

Aishwarya Bachchan's role might not be that big in The Pink Panther 2 but she's going on a world tour to attend the film's premieres.

http://www.topnews.in/files/Aishwarya_Rai.jpg

The man behind the success of Ash, Aamir, SRK

First it was Aamir Khan, then it was Shahrukh Khan and now it's Aishwarya Bachchan, who's bagged the Padma Shri award.

http://entertainment.oneindia.in/img/2009/02/04-srk-ash-aamir-040209.jpg

And while the three stars have all won their respective awards in different years, there's one common connection that the trio share. That all the three actors have won a Padma Shri soon after working with ace filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker.

Aamir won the award post-Lagaan, Shahrukh post - Swades, and Ash post – Jodhaa Akbar, all three films that were directed by Ashutosh. Call it the magic of teamwork or sheer coincidence, but Ashutosh sure seems to have a Midas touch when it comes to bagging awards. Now, do we see the queue of actors trying to make it in Ashutosh's films doubling up?

Aish won't accept award without Dad

The French are an emotional people.

http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r209/safinrox/aish_w.jpg

But even they must not have been prepared for Aishwarya Bachchan’s response when they conferred their prestigious Officer Dan Ordre Des Arts Et Des Lettres honour on the pretty Bollywood actress.
“Thank-you, but not now,” is what Ash is reported to have told the French government when its second highest civilian award was announced in her name. Incidentally, this honour has been conferred earlier on Hollywood actors Meryl Streep and Robert Redford. And, on Shah Rukh Khan as well. There’s only one higher French civilan honour — the Legion d’honour which father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan, Satyajit Ray and Pandit Ravi Shankar have received.

However, Ash was not turning down the French award. She was just putting it off until her ailing father, Krishna Raj Rai, was well enough to attend the award ceremony. “I wanted my entire family — and that includes my parents, brother, sister-in-law, my husband and his parents, sister and brother-in-law — to be there. My father has been unwell and I wanted him to be there at this important moment,” said Ash. “It will be a glorious moment. But not without my father!” Now that Krishna is well enough, Ash has asked the French government to go ahead with the ceremony. It is likely to be held in Paris when the actress attends the world premiere of her film, Pink Panther 2. “My father will have to brave the long flight. There’s a long list of dos and don’ts for him. But worth it, don’t you think,”Ash said.

Aish signs up for Vishal's Film

Finally Vishal Bharadwaj and Aishwarya Rai's wish to work together is going to be reality. The hit maker who is currently busy with 'Kaminey' will be starting a movie with Aish towards the end of this year.

http://www.celebrity9.com/img/aishwarya-rai/aishwarya-rai.jpg

It was for a film titled as 'Timbuctoo' that Vishal had approached Aishwarya in the past. But that film never materialized.

Talking about the project with Vishal, Aishwarya said "Vishal and I have wanted to work together ever since he was the music composer on a project that got shelved. We had promised one another that I would star in his film whenever he turned director".

Well, Vishal took up direction way back in 2002 with the wonderful children's film 'Makdee'. He followed it up with the commercially and critically acclaimed flicks 'Maqbool' and 'Omkara', becoming one of the most respected film makers of B-Town.

Confirming about the proposed film the actress said "I was very impressed by Vishal's work. But he insisted that we would work together only when he found absolutely the right project. That has finally happened. Vishal has bounced the script off me. And we both feel this is the right project for us to come together".

Aishwarya Rai to contest polls

After 'Munnabhai' Sanjay Dutt, it could be the turn of Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to contest the upcoming Lok Sabha polls as a Samajwadi Party candidate.

http://www.celebrity9.com/img/aishwarya-rai/aishwarya-rai.jpg

Samajwadi Party workers and leaders in Bihar have decided to offer Aishwarya the party ticket for the Madhepura seat against Janata Dal-United (JD-U) national president Sharad Yadav, a party official said.

In view of the overwhelming demand of the party workers, the Samajwadi Party Bihar parliamentary board has recommended Aishwarya's name to party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav.

Senior party leader Tulsi Singh said that a large number of party workers and people had requested him to convince Mulayam Singh to give the party ticket to Aishwarya from Madhepura. Singh is chairman of the party's state parliamentary board.

The Madhepura seat is held by the Rashtriya Janata Dal's Pappu Yadav, who is serving life imprisonment in Tihar Jail in Delhi for his involvement in the murder of Left leader Ajit Sarkar. His wife Ranjita Ranjan is a Lok Janshakti Party MP from Saharsa.

JD-U leader Sharad Yadav is likely to contest from Madhepura, his old seat.

In the last Lok Sabha polls in 2004, Railway Minister Lalu Prasad, the RJD chief, won from Madhepura by defeating Sharad Yadav. Lalu Prasad later resigned the Madhepura seat and opted to retain the Chapra seat.

Madhepura, a rural seat, is dominated by the backward Yadav caste. Last year, Madhepura was hit by devastating floods when the Kosi river changed its course after a breach upstream in Nepal.
