Actress Freida Pinto has made a name for herself with Slumdog Millionaire , but isn’t a happy lady at the moment. The gorgeous diva is upset with her bold pictures being circulated all over the internet, which she had shot for a calendar in a few years ago.

If this wasn’t enough, Freida was stunned to find picture of her while stepping out of a portable toilet during the shooting of Julian Schnabel’s Miral. The actress is paying a heavy price for being famous as even her private moments with her boyfriend Dev Patel was been captured in a camera and posted on the internet. 
But Frieda should understand that a celebrity has to go through all this and shouldn’t get upset. Way to go Freida!

Exclusive Pics:Freida Pinto and Dev Patel on a date

They have always denied that their on-screen romance spilled over into real life.

But if Freida Pinto and Dev Patel really are just friends, as they claim, then they are very close ones.

The Slumdog Millionaire stars were spotted enjoying an intimate lunch together in Israel, where Miss Pinto is filming on location.

Sources said that Patel, 18, had flown all the way out there for just a quick visit with her.

An onlooker at the lunch said: ‘They looked very close. They sat side by side and looked into each other’s eyes. At one stage, Freida leaned in towards him and rested her head on his shoulder.’

The Indian actress, 24, is starring in filmmaker Julian Schnabel’s latest project Miral.

The pictures of her lunch with Patel add weight to comments made by their Slumdog co-star Anil Kapoor, who said earlier this year that the young couple had a ‘magical chemistry’.

Asked on a radio show if there was any romance going on while they were in India, he said: ‘As I matter of fact, when I meet them I feel there is something happening.’

‘She says I have to look after him and I have to babysit him and that kind of stuff, [but I think] this is the beginning of something exciting happening. They definitely make a great pair. Both of them look very good together.’

Friends and colleagues have said that the pair became closer as they toured the world promoting Danny Boyle’s Oscar-winning film.

Patel had previously starred in Channel 4 drama Skins, while Miss Pinto is a former model and presenter.

She has already hit the headlines for breaking up with her fiancé, public relations executive Rohan Antao, to concentrate on her career.

A spokesman for Patel declined to comment on his relationship with Miss Pinto.

Freida Pinto be the next Diane Keaton!

Less than a day after Slumdog Millionaire swept the Oscars, winning eight statuettes, Freida Pinto, has firmly entrenched herself in LA culture. The lady is on her way to acting in a film with Woody Allen.

Confirming this, her sister, Sharon Pinto, who works as a television producer, said, "Yes, Freida has been cast in a film to be directed by Woody Allen, but she is also very busy with her agent in Los Angeles to work out her acting agenda. Currently she is overstressed with all the interviews, the media barrage."

Woody Allen, one of America's iconic directors has made such classics as Annie Hall, Crimes and Misdemeanours, Husbands and Wives and Bullets Over Broadway.

Once married to Mia Farrow, the couple had a messy divorce, when Allen was discovered to be having an affair with one of their adopted daughters.

Despite the scandal, Allen has always been considered one of Hollywood's maverick filmmakers, known for his wit, his zany take on urban relationships, and his eccentric dialogue writing.

Despite this casting coup, Pinto is shying away from the Indian media currently. "The last two weeks have been difficult for Freida with all the speculation about her personal life in the media.

Some details have been very unsavoury and traumatic for her, and the family at large. Currently she is sleeping and catching some rest in Los Angeles. Also it being Oscar week, she has been in and out of interviews.

We try to keep in touch with her, but then I always have to Google what the LA time is, for she might be asleep! I think it's time to let her be," said sister Sharon, insisting that Freida have some privacy. Well, Los Angeles is miles away from Goa, Freida. Chill out. And congratulations.

Freida Celebrates leaving ex-boyfriend Devastated

The Slumdog Millionaire team might be celebrating hard and the whole of India might be celebrating with them, but Rohan Antao sure isn't one of them. The man says that he hates the Oscar winning movie and won't watch it because it ended his relationship with the film's heroine Freida Pinto.

He thinks the movie's reported off-screen romance between Freida and her co-star Dev Patel, who is six years her junior, ended his relationship. He reportedly told the News of the World, "She ended it with me after getting close to Dev Patel. Now everywhere I go I see them on billboards. I am devastated. I hate the film. It wrecked my relationship. As soon as it became a success and she started spending all her time with Dev, she ended it."

Antao, who is a marketing executive, said the two met six years ago and that he proposed to her in 2007. Some even claim that they were married in 2007 but Slumdog Millionaire turned their lives around.

He said, "The film bosses didn't want her to be engaged. It would affect the whole emphasis of the film, the love story. I had no say in it. I was kind of forced to lie to director Danny Boyle about the relationship when they met at a party. He was very down to earth, but I had to lie all evening and say I was just Freida's boyfriend."

After seeing Freida with Dev at the Toronto Film Festival last September, Antao said he sent Dev an angry text message saying: 'You do know she is engaged, don't you?" but he never responded.

He said, “I feel bitter towards Dev. If you are engaged to someone, the last thing you want to be thinking about is whether Dev Patel is telling her how wonderful she is. She is infatuated with Dev. I don't know if they were having a sexual relationship but if I came face to face with him I would have things to say. I wish her success in her career, but I can't watch the Oscars, and I don't want to watch the film - it wrecked our love.”

This one sure is scorned lover. We wonder what the effect of his words is going to have on ambitious Freida who's flying high and not thinking about anything negative right now.

Freida Pinto is infatuated with Dev Patel

Rohan Antao, Freida Pinto's fiance, has spoken to British weekly News Of The World about their split. The issue hit stands on Sunday, just before the Oscar ceremony went underway.

Antao blames Danny Boyle's Slumdog Millionaire for the reported romance between Freida and her co-star Dev Patel, six years her junior.

"She ended it with me after getting close to Dev Patel. Now everywhere I go I see them on billboards. I am devastated," the 24-year-old Antao said.

About the Oscar-winning movie, he stated, "I hate the film. It wrecked my relationship. As soon as it became a success and Freida started spending all her time with Dev, she ended it," he added.

Antao, a Mumbai-based marketing executive, said the two met six years ago. He proposed to her in 2007, but Slumdog Millionare changed their life.

Dev and Freida spotted shopping for ring

Slumdog Millionaire stars Dev Patel and Freida Pinto have fuelled dating rumours after being spotted shopping for a ring on Valentine’s Day.

The report comes after their co-star Anil Kapoor recently revealed he could feel “the beginning of something exciting” between the two.

The 18-year-old lad was seen taking his six-year-senior “lady love” to a High Street jeweller’s on Oxford Street – and left without purchasing anything.

“Dev and Frieda seemed completely smitten with each other. They spent 15 minutes in the jeweller’s and were quite happy to sign autographs and talk to fans,” the Sun quoted an onlooker as saying.

“They paid particular attention to one of the cabinets which was full of the more expensive rings stocked by the store chain.

“They didn’t buy anything in the end, but they certainly spent plenty of time studying the range,” the onlooker added.

Something happening b/v Dev and Frieda

Freida Pinto and Dev Patel, stars of the Indian-themed movie Slumdog Millionaire, may be dating in real life, according to their co-star Anil Kapoor.

Kapoor told an American radio station the pair, who play childhood sweethearts who find love in and out of slums, had a "magical chemistry".

"As a matter of fact, when I meet them I feel there is something happening," Kapoor told Ryan Seacrest's Morning Show on Los Angeles-based KIIS FM.

"But she says 'I have to look after him' and 'I have to baby sit him' and that kind of stuff... (I think) this is the beginning of something exciting happening.

"They definitely make a great pair. Both of them look very good together," Kapoor said, according to the Daily Telegraph.

Pinto, 24, and London-based Patel, 18, were spotted recently sharing Oreo cheesecake at a bakery in Los Angeles and have become close as they travelled the world promoting their film, the paper reported Friday.

Pinto, a former model, split with her fiance last month.

Guess who's guiding 'Slumdog Millionaire' star Freida Pinto in her maiden Academy Awards experience? Not able to come up with an answer, well then here it is: Kate Winslet and Angelina Jolie.

The two Oscar winning superstars are offering the Indian actress words of advice and wisdom on the red carpets of glitzy awards ceremonies.

And Freida is convinced that she can go to the Hollywood leading ladies in case of any questions or concerns.

"Angelina was really wonderful to talk to and very supportive of newcomers... She's just like, 'Embrace it. Enjoy it and keep it real. Don't get affected by all this. Enjoy every moment,'" Contactmusic quoted her as saying.

She added: "And every time I have a question, Kate Winslet is always there to answer it. I found this new-found support in her."

Freida Pinto’s Wardrobe Worries

Freida Pinto, the female lead in Slumdog Millionaire, is enjoying every minute of her new-found stardom, but she’s also experienced the downsideof being in the public eye.

The off-shoulder dress she wore for the Golden Globes has come in for some criticism and when asked about it, she says, “It seemed the right choice at the time, but I’m obviously going to be more careful now.”

But, apart from that, she’s quite thrilled at the reception she got after returning to India. She says, “It’s been a great homecoming. I need to treasure these moments for the rest of my life. For someone who’s never acted before, this break was a blessing.

Working for Danny Boyle was like attending the best acting school in the world. When we started working, he told me, ‘Life isn’t always the same. Brace yourself for the world!’ The attention does get overwhelming at times and I’m still getting used to it. I’m actually quite shy.”

Freida Pinto: The Golden Debutante

On a warm Monday evening, I waited to meet Freida by the poolside at a posh hotel in Juhu, Mumbai.

Still recovering from this unimaginable reality—the fact that her debut film Slumdog Millionaire had won the Golden Globe Awards, that it has been nominated for the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Awards and she herself is a red-carpet entrant—Freida smiled with a childlike twinkle in her eyes as she walked towards me. The excitement and enthusiasm of a debutante was clear in the cheerful gleam she had throughout the interview. Here are some excerpts:

How did you chance upon the role of Latika in your debut film?
It was an open casting call and Casting Director Loveleen Tandan was calling several agencies back in India for auditions for the three lead roles. When she told my manager about the part, he very casually told me ‘I think you’ll be very interested in going for this audition, it’s for a Danny Boyle film.’ My first reaction was, ‘Get out of here!’ I simply couldn’t believe that Danny Boyle, who’s made films like Trainspotting and The Beach, was coming to Mumbai to make a film. I quickly sent a tape to London and got a call after a month. Then I auditioned for six months before I finally got the part.

How was the experience of working in Slumdog Millionaire with director Danny Boyle?
It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. It’s like your first love; I’ll always remember the day when I went for my first audition, my first scene and so on. The crew became like family, from the make-up artist to the cameraman, each one of us bonded. The level of professionalism was very different; they have value for time and see to it that everyone is happy. Working with Danny Boyle was an experience I thank God for giving me right at the start of my career because when you’ve had absolutely no acting experience, if you’ve never been to an acting school ‘the Danny Boyle acting school’ is the best you can go to! This is why I keep attributing my six-month auditioning as my training period. His passion and energy is very infectious, and he gives in so much to the film that you also want to let go of yourself and give your best; you want to be on the same page as he is. What’s special about the film is that Danny got into the skin of Mumbai.

He shot Mumbai exactly the way it was, he never said lets build a set. It made me realise how we don’t cherish our own city and often find ourselves complaining about the dirt and the heat; it made me love my city the way it is.

You have become an overnight celebrity. How is this affecting you, both personally and professionally?
Life has been so unpredictable up until now that I don’t know where it’ll take me from here on. On the one hand it has made me realise that now I’ll be in the public eye more often, which is kind of scary since I’m a very sensitive and reserved person. On the other hand, I want to share my experiences with the world. At home, I’m still the same ‘ol Mumbai girl and even though my family is ecstatic about my work and is incredibly proud of me, I’m still scolded for silly things like messing up my room; so nothing has really changed personally.

At the Golden Globe Awards, you had the chance to interact with many A-List Hollywood stars. Were you intimidated?
It was incredible and also quite surreal. I have grown up watching these stars and to meet them was indeed a privilege. What was wonderful was the fact that these renowned celebrities are extremely down-to-earth. They are real people, just like us and were wonderful to interact with. I met many of them, including Sting and Bruce Springsteen, but one of the most memorable meetings was with Clint Eastwood. When he met me, he first congratulated me on the film and said he really liked it. I was floored, and beaming with joy.

Recently you were on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Robin Williams as the other guest. What was it like to be in the same room with such talented people?
I was really very nervous before the shoot began, but as it progressed, I became more comfortable. It was all thanks to Robin Williams and Leno—they completely helped me feel at ease.

What are the future projects you are working on?
I haven’t signed on anything yet and won’t be doing so for at least a month. As of now, I really want to enjoy every moment of my first film; I don’t want any moment to pass me by while I was busy working for my next project. I don’t know if I will ever be able to experience anything like this ever again.

And any plans on settling down in the near future?
Nope. I’m looking forward to doing some good projects before I can even thinking of settling down.

CNN-IBN: You can truly be called destiny's child, so Freida would you say everything worked out just right for you?

Freida Pinto: Yes I guess it did. I believe it was the right amount of hard work and some amount of luck as well.

CNN-IBN: What kind of films do you like and who are your favourite actors?

Freida Pinto: Among the newer lot, I like Imran Khan a lot and I liked Vishal Bharadwaj's Omkara as well and Aamir Khan he is top notch.

CNN-IBN: So is it now time for you to say goodbye to Hollywood and say hello to Bollywood?

Freida Pinto: Now that is a difficult question. No it wouldn't be right to do that, all I want to say is that I'm right here and I am open to receiving all kinds of scripts. Even in Bollywood, there are some very interesting films being made these days, so I'm open to both.

CNN-IBN: With so much media attention there's bound to be some prying into your private life. Are you prepared?

Freida Pinto: Well it has already started, my sister called me up to tell me that on Wikipedia I was dating some guy in UK. So I guess it's the price you have to pay and I'm coping with it.
