I can't stop thanking Ajay: Mugdha

Mugdha Godse had met with an unfortunate accident on the Mumbai- Pune highway and is down with a severe neck injury. Amongst others, showing lots of concern is her co-star and producer of her next film All The Best. He went as far as sending over his doctor to Pune to treat her.

A grateful Mugdha said: “The accident last week injured my neck so severely that I got no relief despite using a neck collar. Since I could barely move it and was in terrible pain, I called Ajay (Devgan) to inform him that I would not be able to join the film’s unit. Ajay was not just considerate enough to excuse me from the shooting, but also sent over his doctor Dr. Dilip and his cousin Vikrant Sharma to my residence in Pune for my treatment. Acupressure therapy and the neck band have eased my injury by 70 per cent.”

The Fashion actress is regularly gushing about Ajay Devgan these days :“I am extremely thankful to Ajay. This is the first time I am working with him and am very touched by his gesture. I can now resume work but will have to go slow. Though Ajay and Rohit Shetty (director of All The Best) have told me to take my time to recuperate, I am in Goa for the shooting. I feel that they are like family.”

Ajay Devgan’s been doing a lot of good work these days. He recently postponed a schedule of the film to give time to Fardeen Khan to recover from his father Feroz Khan’s death.

Well, the movies he’s been making haven’t done as well as he wanted them to Maybe he thinks the good will will help big time.

Mugdha Godse lands her first Endorsement

Mugdha Godse has just signed her first endorsement. The Fashion actress is now brand ambassador for a soap initially endorsed by cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

This is the model-turned-actress' first endorsement after stepping into B-Town. She earlier modelled for Maharashtra Tourism.

This is the first time that the brand which caters to the upper segment has a female ambassador. Although many actresses have modelled for it, they signed Dhoni as their first male ambassador and were looking for a female face too."

Special deal

Mugdha confirms, "They've revamped the brand and were looking for a female ambassador. This endorsement is very special to me as this is my first-ever big endorsement. The soap costs Rs 52 and we have the upper segment as our target audience. It is a glamorous ad with me in a bath tub."

The actress will be next seen in Jail opposite Neil Nitin Mukesh. Directed by Madhur Bhandarkar, it goes on the floors on March 15. She will also be seen in Ajay Devgan Production's film, directed by Rohit Shetty, opposite Fardeen Khan.

Mugdha recently bagged the Lions Gold Award for the 'Best Debutant Actress' for her dazzling performance in the movie Fashion.

The Lions Gold Awards were held recently in the suburbs and are well-known as a Musical Celebration for Exceptional Contribution to Cinema.

On receiving the award Mugdha said, "It's a special award as its my first and its not from any film award function but from an organization made by people and for the people; and if people accept you as an actor then half the battle is won.
