Jihaad has no intimate scenes: Minissha

Minissha Lamba clarifies that her missing out on 'Jihaad' is no kiss-and-tell issue Though much has been written about Minissha Lamba refusing to shoot ‘intimate scenes’ with Vivek Oberoi for Rensil D’Silva’s Jihaad, the truth seems to be far from this. Talking to CT from New York, D’Silva said, “I don’t know who has been circulating such rumours. There are no intimate scenes in my film. Mine is a serious film and such rumours are distracting.”

The real reason for Minissha opting out of the film is her passport. “The pages on my passport had been used up and I had sent it for renewal. It took so long, that there wasn’t much time for me to leave for New York to shoot. Jihaad has no intimate scenes to begin with. I would never back out of a film at the last moment,” she said, adding, “Everyone has been working so hard for the film and such rumours are totally uncalled for.”

Minissha Lamba has no love for Vivek

After replacing Tara Sharma in Rensil D'silva's Jehaad, now Minissha Lamba is also out. As reported in HiTLIST, Feburary 17, 'Tara"s pregnant, replaced by Minissha", now it comes to light that the actress is out because of her reluctance to shoot intimate scenes with co-star Vivek Oberoi.

A source reveals, "Minissha was very happy to have bagged a role in Jehaad, courtesy. Although it was only had a ten minute role, but couldn't stop bragging about it, since she was shooting for a film which was backed by Karan Johar's production house. But now, she is no longer part of the film.

The source continues, "The role demanded intimate scenes between her and Vivek. She was open to that but refused to do a kissing scene with the actor.

This didn't go down well with the director and he spoke to the production house to have her replaced. Minissha, who wasn't in favour of this kiss refused to reconsider, ensuring an exit as the only option."

Jehaad is a romantic thriller set against the backdrop of global terrorism. The movie stars Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor in the lead. The supporting cast also includes Kirron Kher, Om Puri and some talented new faces.

Minissha and Jehaad director Rensil both remained unavailable for comment.

Tara Sharma adds, "Rensil had given me a briefing but we hadn't spoken about the intimate or kissing scene at length.

He knew I wouldn't be comfortable, and he did talk about working around it out minus the kissing scene as the script really didn't demand it."

Minissha gets Surgery done on her nose

The Bachna Ae Haseeno star who seemed most unlikely candidate needing a cosmetic surgery got a plastic surgery done on her nose recently. The actress who otherwise has a angelic face got a pointed look to her otherwise blunt nose.

Celebrities like Rakhi Sawant, Ayesha Takia and Bipasha Basu have had breast enhancement surgeries done on them. Minissha joins the league of Shilpa Shetty and Koena Mitra who have got a nose job done in the past. The surgery had however turned nightmare for both the stars as they spoilt the natural beauty of their nose. Hope this surgery does not turn out to be a nightmare for Minissha as well!
